Since 2016, Mélanie has been the president and majority shareholder of Serres St-Élie, a powerhouse in horticultural production and retail whose reputation in Estrie speaks for itself. Driven by her desire to grow the business while reducing its environmental footprint, Mélanie and her team began dreaming bigger: a cutting-edge greenhouse complex that would take their production to the next level.
After years of research, planning, and hard work, that vision finally came to life in 2023. The new Serres St-Élie complex now spans 40,000 square feet of ultra-modern greenhouses, designed for efficient and responsible resource management. Thanks to this expansion, Serres St-Élie now produces even more annual flowers, herbs, and vegetable plants.
Mélanie Grégoire is also the creator behind Baby Plant Month, a fundraising initiative that supports neonatology centers across Québec by advancing research and improving care for premature babies. Mélanie’s son, Laurent, was born extremely premature, and it’s the experience she lived through during his birth and the months that followed that inspired her to take action for this cause.
